MDS Coordinator (RN - Full-Time)

Alamance Health Care Center has a Full-Time opening on our MDS Coordinator Team.
JOB SUMMARY
Develops and completes the patient assessment process in accordance with the requirements of federal and state regulations and company policies and procedures.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
oCoordinates the development and accurate completion of the patient assessment (Minimum Data Set (MDS)) in accordance with current federal and state rules, regulations and guidelines
oCompletes MDS assessments, CAAs and care plans of patient's medical records
oCommunicates observation to the patient's Direct Care Staff, Physician Family
oAssists center in making appropriate Medicare coverage decisions
oEnsures additional requirements of the Medicare program are met
oSelects the correct Assessment Reference Date (ARD) and correct reasons for assessment that capture all resources utilized to assure appropriate payment by the Medicare/Medicaid systems.
oDisseminates any new or updated materials involving the Resident Assessment Instrument (RAI) process
oEnsures timely electronic submission and general validity of all MDSs
oReviews validation reports to ensure appropriate follow up actions
oCommunicates with Staff Development Coordinator to ensure that licensed nurses and new interdisciplinary team members are knowledgeable of the RAI process and receive the appropriate training and that CNAs receive ongoing training regarding ADL coding
Requirements/
Qualifications:
oActive license to practice as a Registered Nurse in Virginia or North Carolina.
oStrong clinical assessment skills.
oAbility to make independent decisions on a regular basis.
oEffective interpersonal skills and the ability to work with an interdisciplinary team.
oIntermediate computer skills.
oProven written and oral communication skills.
oProven decision making and analytical skills.
Preferred
Qualifications:
oMinimum two years of clinical experience in a healthcare setting. Minimum of one year of experience in a long term care setting.
oPrior experience as an MDS Coordinator preferred.
oMDS 3.0 System experience
oRAI Process experience

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
