Job Description:
Develops, implements, maintains, and/or oversees enforcement of policies, procedures and associated plans for system security administration and user system access based on industry-standard best practices.
Conducts research on emerging products, services, protocols and standards in support of security enhancement and development efforts.
Deploys, manages and maintains security systems and their corresponding or associated software including web application firewalls, intrusion detection/penetration systems, vulnerability scanning systems, etc.
Designs, performs, and/or oversees penetration and vulnerability testing of all systems in order to identify system vulnerabilities.
Designs, implements and reports on security system and end user activity audits.
Monitors server logs, firewall logs, intrusion detection logs, and network traffic for unusual or suspicious activity. Interpret activity and make recommendations for resolution.
Recommends, schedules and applies fixes, security patches, disaster recovery procedures and any other measures required in the event of a security breach.
Downloads and tests new security software and/or technologies

Skill Requirements:
Broad hands-on knowledge of firewalls; intrusion detection/penetration systems; data encryption; VPN; certificate authorities and other industry-standard techniques and practices.
Experience with SIEM, QRadar, preferred.
In-depth knowledge of platform operating systems, including Linux, Mac and Windows. Working technical knowledge of current systems software, protocols and standards.
Knowledge of applicable practices and laws, regulations relating to data privacy and protection.
High level of analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to conduct research into security issues and products is required.
Strong interpersonal and oral communication skills.
Superb organizational skills and detail-oriented.
Able to work in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
Familiarization with
HIPAA; PCI; FDA; DIACAP; and other healthcare regulatory guidelines are a plus.
Machine: Personal computer.
Physical Demands:
Speech clarity, utilization of fingers and hands, standing-remaining on ones feet in an upright position, sitting-remaining in the normal seated position, handling-seizing, holding, grasping.
Vision Requirements:
Able to pass standardized (color) vision test, as required by test performed.
License/Certification/Education:
License/Certification/Education: Normally requires a B.S. Degree in Computer Science; Information Technology; Information Management Systems and/or applicable degree with a minimum of 5 years work experience.
Certifications in Security
CISSP; GSEC; Comp TIA, CEH, etcEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
