Part-Time Thataways Recreation Facility Aide

Job DescriptionResponsible for operation of recreation center and assisting with programs and special events at center and city wide special events.
Examples of DutiesAn employee in this class is responsible for operating the recreation center and assisting with primary programs within the center.
Work includes:
Assists with managing the physical building if necessary Assist with programs and special events Evaluate center and park area and ensure all maintenance needs are reported Collect program fees Assist during rentals Answer phone calls when necessary Qualifications General Knowledge of opening and closing the recreation center General knowledge of operational procedures within the recreation center Communicate with the public and staff Follows given responsibilities from the center director Basic computer skills Ability to be certified in First Aid, CPR and AED EducationA High School education is preferredSpecial RequirementPass a City Drug Test and NC Background Check Supplemental InformationPhysical Requirements - work in this position is light work, requiring exertion of up to 47 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or negligible amounts of force constantly to move objects.
Employee must have the visual acuity to determine the accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness of the work assigned.
Working conditions may include both inside or outside working conditions; however, the majority of work is inside.
Employee is not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
