Continuous Improvement Engineer I

Description Primary FunctionIdentifies, implements and validates cost saving and efficiency opportunities for production lines.
The position will research data, equipment, vendors to obtain the best solution and coordinate timelines, implementation and training to ensure a successful project completion.
The position will report to the Engineering Department Manager.
Essential Duties &
Responsibilities:
Provide and drive cost savings projects through site while retaining product qualitySelect and implement machine, material and product manufacturing solutionsResearch information and provide ROI for proposed solutionsSelect and implement manufacturing line layouts and processesAble to read and understand Engineering drawingsTroubleshoot and diagnose problems in all sectors of manufacturingWork effectively in a variety of applied engineering roles with limited supervisionReview customer's specifications to ensure capabilities are metEncouraged in risk-taking to benefit the company, innovation and propose creative ideas in all aspects towards the company.
Additional duties may be assigned.
Requirements:
Bachelors degree in Industrial Engineering is required from an accredited University, or relatable experienceAt least 1-3 years of related manufacturing and engineering experience is preferredAbility to interpret and work with/on CAD drawings, renderings, samples, etc.
Ability to manage, in parallel, multiple technical tasks with different requirements and timelinesKnowledge of packaging equipment systems and packaging technologyAwareness of industry trends and developments in packaging equipmentStrong analytical, problem solving and interpersonal skillsExperience in cost savingsKnowledge in continuous improvement lean methodologiesExcellent oral and written communication skills.
Fluency in English is required.
Proficiency in Spanish is a plus.
Proficiency in MS Office, including Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Visio, etc.
Recommended Skills Analytical Business Process Improvement Cad Communication Cost Reduction Hardworking And Dedicated Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
