The staff ensures confidentiality and timely DME billing, and stays current on industry and reimbursement changes.
Medequip has over 200 contracts with national payers and workman's compensation payers and are in network provider for most PPO insurance companies.

You will report directly to the Office Manager and will work closely with other departments to provide the best possible patient experience.
Our corporate office is located in Aliso Viejo, CA and we have additional offsite offices in Fresno, CA, San Diego, CA Burlington, NC , Greer, SC, and Vail CO.
We are fortunate to have several long term employees whom began their career at Medequip working in Data Entry and Billing before promotion to Account Manager.

As an Insurance Verification - Benefits Specialist you will:
Work independently and have in depth knowledge of billing insurance Be Responsible for obtaining verification of patient benefits and eligibility for services ordered.
Work closely with Insurance Companies regarding benefits by verifying coverage, deductibles, co-insurance, effective dates, in or out of network and if authorization is required Identify plans that require pre-certifications, collect documents and submit any additional required information Ongoing written and verbal communication with accounts regarding authorization and re-authorizations.
Resolve customer issues and communicate with representatives, patients, and insurance companies to establish good relationships Updating patient information/keeping accurate records.
Utilize experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals Number of Openings :

Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required One year experience in a medical office, hospital, outpatient clinic, or other health care setting Familiarity with insurance rules and regulations Previous DME experience a plus Analytical skills required Good organization skills and an orientation to detail are required Ability to work well in a team environment Microsoft skills Job Type:

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
